About the role#
As a Systems Engineering Intern, you will work closely with senior engineers on technically challenging projects that support our research, implementation, and software engineering teams. This 10-week program focuses on the design, implementation, and operational support of scalable systems critical to quantitative trading. You will face problems that lack well-defined solutions and will be encouraged to explore new technologies to develop effective answers.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with senior engineers on individual projects.
- Gain hands-on experience with multicast market data distribution.
- Automate the provisioning of cloud infrastructure, including compute, services, and storage.
- Develop GitOps-driven configuration management for global deployments.
- Add core components to our cloud-based Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Analyze the latency impact of network buffering.
- Participate in both intern-specific and company-wide social events.
What you'll need#
- Current Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related rigorous technical field.
- Expected graduation date of Fall 2027 or later.
- Strong academic background.
- Intellectual curiosity and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
- Ability to learn quickly and work with a sense of urgency.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Interest in distributed computing, operating systems, and hybrid networking.
