About the role#
We are looking for a Human Resources Student to join our Edmonton Buildings district. This position is available for a 4 or 8 month term starting in January 2027. You will work on-site and gain exposure to various HR functions while supporting our team with daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Gain exposure to recruitment, training, professional development, and health and wellness initiatives.
- Help plan and execute career fairs.
- Coordinate training sessions and set up courses.
- Prepare for daily events, meetings, and interviews.
- Compose confidential correspondence, reports, and documentation.
- Support the student program and maintain ad-hoc reporting.
- Handle tasks that require high levels of confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or diploma program with a major in Human Resources.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to anticipate team needs and manage follow-up tasks proactively.
- Capability to handle multiple priorities and changing deadlines while maintaining professionalism.
- Resourcefulness and the ability to work independently on day-to-day assignments.

- Location: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.

- Terms: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
