About the role#
This is a full-time, paid student position based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. You will join the Atlantic Canada district for a 4-month term starting in January 2027.
What you'll do#
- Update and submit mechanical and electrical shop drawings.
- Review and verify site installations.
- Assist with quality control and track deficiencies.
- Update and input the commissioning schedule.
- Witness and coordinate commissioning activities.
- Track and process Requests for Information (RFI).
- Perform on-site coordination with trades and review progress.
- Assist project managers with other disciplines and trades as needed.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a degree or diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- You have the ability to review shop and construction drawings.
- You are self-motivated and take a hands-on approach to your work.
- You communicate effectively in writing and verbally with various partners.
- You have a strong interest in working in a construction environment.
- Prior field construction experience is an asset.
