About the role#
Park City Municipal Corporation is hiring a Transportation Planning Intern for the winter and spring of 2027. You will work with the Transportation Planning and Transit teams to improve mobility and access across the community. This role involves supporting policy direction and project implementation for local transportation goals.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of short-range transit and multimodal wayfinding plans.
- Conduct research, collect and analyze data, and prepare maps, graphics, and presentations.
- Assist with public engagement efforts including community events, open houses, and surveys.
- Coordinate tasks with Transportation Planning, Transit, and other City staff.
- Assist with additional transportation projects and perform other assigned duties.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate.
- Field of study in transportation planning, urban planning, urban ecology, landscape architecture, civil engineering, geography, public administration, public policy, communications, marketing, public relations, nonprofit management, or a related field.
- At least 18 years old by the start of employment.
- Valid driver license.
- Familiarity with Esri GIS applications.
- Experience with graphic design or data-visualization software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365.
- Interest in public and active transportation.
- Experience with data collection, research, or analysis.
Location & details#
- Location: Park City, Utah.
- Modality: Hybrid, with at least 50 percent of hours worked in person.
- Term: Winter and Spring 2027 (December 2026 or January 2027 through June 2027).
- Hours: Up to 20 hours per week.
- Pay: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour.
- Note: Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
