About the role#
The Quality Intern works with the Quality Manager to support process documentation and improvement projects. You will gain hands-on experience with quality systems and manufacturing principles in a shop environment.
What you'll do#
- Document and review manufacturing and quality processes.
- Develop and organize standardized work instructions.
- Create and maintain systems to store and analyze process data.
- Generate reports and summaries to help with decision-making.
- Observe production processes and learn about inspection methods and quality control.
- Collaborate with various teams on improvement efforts.
- Maintain a clean work area and follow all safety procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related Engineering degree program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- An interest in process documentation, data analysis, and continuous improvement.
- A basic understanding of manufacturing or quality principles is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Clarkston, Georgia.
- The position is on-site in a shop environment.
- You will be required to perform tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
- You may be exposed to noise and typical manufacturing conditions.
