About the role#
As a Supply Chain Intern at Pacific Fusion, you will support the tracking and availability of materials, parts, and assemblies. This role provides direct exposure to the intersection of inventory data, physical material flow, and our Manufacturing Execution System (MES). You will contribute to production operations and gain hands-on experience in a renewable energy environment.
What you'll do#
- Support daily inventory control and system accuracy.
- Manage inventory activities such as receiving, stocking, cycle counts, and reconciliation.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure materials are available and correctly issued to jobs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the MES.
- Execute transactions in the MES, including receipts, issues, transfers, and work order consumption.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system data.
- Document inventory processes and standard work.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Interest in manufacturing, inventory control, and operational processes.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow standardized processes and work with data systems.
- Willingness to spend time on the production floor and in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to work full time and on-site for at least 12 consecutive weeks.
- Preference for candidates with a 3.5 GPA or higher.
- Preference for candidates with 6+ months of previous internship, co-op, or academic project experience.
- Preference for basic experience with CAD software, MATLAB, Python, or Excel.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in San Leandro, CA or Fremont, CA.
