    About the role#

    The Office of Multicultural Affairs (oMA) is looking for a Student Assistant to provide administrative and programmatic support. You will help with day to day operations and assist with various department projects and on-campus programs. This position requires Federal Work-Study eligibility.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide administrative support to the department.
    • Perform clerical tasks such as emailing, photocopying, filing, shredding, and creating signage.
    • Greet visitors and provide customer service to students, parents, faculty, staff, and guests.
    • Answer phones and take detailed messages for staff.
    • Organize, execute, support, and host oMA programming and initiatives.
    • Make deliveries to and from campus offices.

    What you'll need#

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet manner.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Strong customer service and organizational skills.
    • Previous office experience is a plus.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Pleasantville, New York.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: Maximum 20 hours per week during the school session and 35 hours per week during breaks. Specific hours are determined with your supervisor.
    • Majors: Business Administration, Communications, or Media Studies.
