About the role#
The Department of Environmental Studies and Science at Pace University is looking for a Graduate Student Assistant to help with daily operations, communications, and event planning. This role provides experience in academic administration and program coordination.
What you'll do#
- Manage lab supply and equipment purchasing, including tracking orders and coordinating with vendors.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Support faculty and staff with administrative tasks and general coordination.
- Create and manage social media content to share faculty research and student news.
- Update the department website with event details and program information.
- Assist with the logistics for guest speakers, student activities, and departmental events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a graduate program at Pace University, preferably in Environmental Science and Policy or a related field.
- Eligibility for Work-Study.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Comfort with social media platforms and basic content creation.
- Familiarity with website content management systems.
- Excellent written communication skills.
