About the role#
We are looking for a Social Media Content Intern to build our presence on TikTok and Instagram. You will help us tell the story of our work through founder-led channels. This role suits someone who understands beauty, makeup, skincare, and luxury wellness. You will work in person with our team in Oakland to film and edit content that captures our progress.
What you'll do#
- Film and edit content featuring our products, community, and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Develop repeatable formats focused on beauty, product craft, and customer stories.
- Turn raw footage, founder ideas, and event moments into social concepts.
- Create hooks, captions, scripts, and subtitles.
- Capture footage at our office, in homes, during prototype tests, and at community gatherings.
- Track performance data to refine hooks, pacing, and distribution strategy.
What you'll need#
- Early-career status, current student, or recent graduate with a portfolio.
- Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram Reels, including native pacing and subtitles.
- Visual taste and an eye for intimate, high-quality storytelling.
- Interest in beauty, makeup, skincare, and premium consumer brands.
- Ability to film casually while keeping content polished.
- Experience managing footage, edits, and publishing workflows.
- Enthusiasm for using AI tools to speed up content production and creative iteration.
- Bonus points for experience in fashion, lifestyle, or consumer product content and a personal portfolio of social work.
Location & details#
- Location: Oakland, California. This is an on-site position.
- Compensation: $18 to $20 per hour.
- Benefits: Hourly pay, commuter benefits for transit or parking, and daily team lunches.
- Term: Rolling start date.
