About the role#
Overlake Medical Center & Clinics is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to work in a per diem capacity. This role involves working under the supervision of a clinical pharmacist to support pharmacy operations and clinical duties within a hospital setting.
What you'll do#
- Assist pharmacists with clinical duties as prescribed by law.
- Manage the distribution of medications.
- Collaborate with other health care professionals to support patient care.
- Work variable hours and shifts, including weekends, based on scheduling needs and student availability.
- Perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a College of Pharmacy accredited by the Washington Pharmacy Quality Assurance Commission (PQAQ).
- Active registration as a Pharmacy Intern with the Washington State Department of Health.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills for interacting with staff and patients.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to exercise calm, reasoned judgment in stressful or emergent situations.
