Pharmacy Intern (Per Diem)

About the role#

Overlake Medical Center & Clinics is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to work in a per diem capacity. This role involves working under the supervision of a clinical pharmacist to support pharmacy operations and clinical duties within a hospital setting.

What you'll do#

• Assist pharmacists with clinical duties as prescribed by law.
• Manage the distribution of medications.
• Collaborate with other health care professionals to support patient care.
• Work variable hours and shifts, including weekends, based on scheduling needs and student availability.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a College of Pharmacy accredited by the Washington Pharmacy Quality Assurance Commission (PQAQ).
• Active registration as a Pharmacy Intern with the Washington State Department of Health.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills for interacting with staff and patients.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to exercise calm, reasoned judgment in stressful or emergent situations.
