About the role#
This internship offers a chance to learn how a food manufacturing line operates. You will work on projects based on current business needs, such as improving yield or reducing waste. At the end of the summer, you will prepare and present your project findings to the corporate management team.
What you'll do#
- Collect, document, review, and transfer test results.
- Perform data collection and track quality metrics.
- Draft, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures.
- Assist in developing and monitoring corrective and preventive actions.
- Log incoming raw materials into a database.
- Perform sample preparation testing.
- Learn and apply auditing standards and techniques.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and work groups.
- Present a final report on your project results.
What you'll need#
- Ability to analyze audit data to identify trends and summarize recommendations.
- Capacity to work in both cold and warm temperature environments.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or fingers, talk, and hear.
