About the role#
The Robotics Programming Engineer Intern assists with the operation, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting of welding robots, cobots, CNC machines, and lasers. You will work across various production phases to support manufacturing processes and equipment.
What you'll do#
- Operate robots and train others on their use.
- Monitor robot performance, troubleshoot issues, and correct problems.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing processes and tooling related to robot programming.
- Assist with the design, development, and maintenance of fixtures.
- Design welding programs to ensure safe, accurate welds and improve operations.
- Coordinate projects involving new technology or the installation of capital equipment.
- Read blueprints, interpret symbols, and perform failure analysis.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate or bachelor degree program in Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Programming, or a related field.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Creo software.
- Hands-on experience with robotic welding.
- Prior experience in a machine shop setting.
