About the role#
As a Global Procurement & Supply Chain Intern, you will support our procurement and supply chain teams across various functions. Assignments are matched based on your skills, academic background, and business needs. You will gain exposure to purchasing, subcontracts, and supplier quality while working on real-world projects.
What you'll do#
- Support commodity managers with supplier selection, pricing negotiations, and performance management.
- Visit suppliers to evaluate manufacturing processes, technical capabilities, capacity, and quality systems.
- Work with tactical buyers on component flow into manufacturing plants.
- Manage supplier forecasts and communicate changes or production updates.
- Administer RFQs and compare supplier quotations for pricing, lead times, and commercial terms.
- Issue purchase orders and review supplier invoices.
- Collaborate with engineering and program management on project integration and service requirements.
- Provide onsite quality assurance support and participate in APQP, PPAP, and capacity verification activities.
- Assist with problem-solving efforts, including containment actions and 8D resolution.
- Shadow engineers during supplier visits to validate corrective actions and support functional validation trials.
What you'll need#
- Current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Economics, Logistics, or a related field.
- Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, and work independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel or relocate to Oshkosh, WI for the Summer of 2027.
