Engineering Student Opportunities (Fall 2026)

About the role#

OSCO Construction Group is seeking engineering students for Fall 2026 co-op placements in Saint John, New Brunswick. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across departments including Project Management, Estimation, Design, Detailing, and Quality Control. Students will work under the guidance of mentors in civil, mechanical, and construction engineering to apply university coursework to real-world projects.

What you'll do#

• Apply theoretical knowledge to engineering challenges with support from company mentors.
• Identify key issues and help develop solutions for the business and external clients.
• Attend project meetings to gain insight and provide necessary support.
• Adhere to the quality, safety, and production standards of your assigned business unit.
• Utilize technology to optimize productivity and workflow efficiency.
• Represent the organization professionally when interacting with clients and stakeholders.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office software.
• Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Familiarity with reading construction drawings is considered an asset.
