    About the role#

    The Economic Development Intern supports the Innovation & Economic Development team at the Orlando Economic Partnership. You will report to the Senior Vice President and assist with business recruitment, retention, and expansion efforts. This role offers hands-on experience in regional economic development by working directly with businesses, community partners, and regional stakeholders.

    What you'll do#

    • Conduct research on companies, industries, and markets to support economic development prospects.
    • Assist with the preparation of prospect meetings, company visits, site visits, and events.
    • Create company profiles, executive bios, and briefing documents.
    • Track economic development projects and prospects within the CRM system.
    • Maintain and update accurate information for companies, prospects, and stakeholders.
    • Support outreach and communications with external partners and businesses.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program at a university or college.
    • At least 18 years of age.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
    • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
    • Preferred fields of study include Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Public Health, Urban Planning, Real Estate, or Marketing.

    Location & details#

    • This is an on-site position based in Orlando, Florida.
    • The internship is paid.
    • The term is rolling.
    • You may work a maximum of 20 hours per week.
