About the role#
This internship provides direct exposure to community corrections and client services. You will work alongside experienced staff to learn about facility operations and support daily programming. This role is unpaid and designed for students looking to gain practical experience in the field.
What you'll do#
- Track the whereabouts of clients assigned to the facility.
- Help supervise client daily routines and scheduled activities.
- Complete documentation such as shift reports, incident reports, and individual client logs.
- Support the implementation of agency policies and procedures.
- Assist with additional operational tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program, preferably in Criminal Justice, Psychology, or Human Services.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- A professional attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
