About the role#
Oriana House, Inc. is seeking an Employment Specialist Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This part-time internship is an unpaid, on-site position based in Cleveland, Ohio. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Lead group instruction using approved curricula on topics such as job seeking skills, resume creation, basic computer skills, and general adult education.
- Manage the client computer lab to keep activities productive and provide individual assistance.
- Administer assessments to evaluate a client's education level, employability, soft skills, and vocational interests.
- Document client attendance, progress, and participation in activities.
- Help monitor client compliance with program rules.
- Connect clients with appropriate community referrals.
- Follow agency and program policies while ensuring client rights are protected.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client and staff information in accordance with agency policies, state law, and federal regulations including HIPAA and 42 C.F.R. Part 2.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
