About the role#
As an Energy & Water Sustainability Intern, you will support our efforts to monitor and reduce resource consumption at our manufacturing facilities. You will work with utility data to track our performance and help implement new metering and leak detection strategies. This role is based in Austin, Texas, and operates on a full-time, on-site basis.
What you'll do#
- Monitor and analyze electricity, natural gas, and water usage through dashboards and trend analysis.
- Track the implementation of our metering roadmap.
- Identify our top five water consumers and prioritize where to install sub-meters.
- Evaluate technologies for leak detection and support water reduction projects.
- Prepare energy baselines and manage data sources to support our ISO 50001 standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical), Environmental Science, Sustainability, or Energy Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Basic knowledge of statistics and utility data analysis.
- Ability to turn technical reports into clear information for decision-makers.
- Experience with Power BI is preferred.
- Basic understanding of electricity, natural gas, and water systems.
