About the role#

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is seeking a Vehicle Energy Model Development Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This full-time, on-site internship focuses on the technical development and validation of energy models within the automotive manufacturing industry.

What you'll do#

Develop and validate vehicle energy models.
Analyze data related to energy consumption and efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on engineering projects.
Support the integration of energy models into vehicle systems.
Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings.

What you'll need#

Current pursuit of a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Environmental Engineering.
Strong analytical skills with a focus on energy modeling.
Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for data analysis.
Familiarity with automotive vehicle energy systems.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication skills.

Term: Summer 2026.
