    About the role#

    Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is seeking a Vehicle Energy Model Development Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This full-time, on-site internship focuses on the technical development and validation of energy models within the automotive manufacturing industry.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop and validate vehicle energy models.
    • Analyze data related to energy consumption and efficiency.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on engineering projects.
    • Support the integration of energy models into vehicle systems.
    • Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Environmental Engineering.
    • Strong analytical skills with a focus on energy modeling.
    • Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for data analysis.
    • Familiarity with automotive vehicle energy systems.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Effective communication skills.

    • Term: Summer 2026.
