About the role#
Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is seeking a Vehicle Energy Model Development Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This full-time, on-site position involves working with engineering teams to improve vehicle efficiency through advanced modeling techniques.
What you'll do#
- Develop and validate energy models for vehicles.
- Analyze data related to energy consumption and overall efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the integration of models into vehicle systems.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations to document findings.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Environmental Engineering.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on energy modeling.
- Experience using MATLAB or Python for data analysis.
- Familiarity with automotive or vehicle energy systems.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Effective communication skills.
