About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing. You will support operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives while working alongside Lithography Process, Equipment, Manufacturing, and Industrial Engineering teams. The role focuses on identifying opportunities to improve factory productivity, reduce waste, and increase equipment utilization.
What you'll do#
- Support projects aimed at reducing non-value-added activities and increasing manufacturing productivity.
- Monitor production performance to identify trends that impact factory output and efficiency.
- Develop operational dashboards, KPIs, and performance tracking metrics.
- Collect, organize, and analyze manufacturing and equipment performance data.
- Perform statistical analysis using Minitab.
- Generate reports and presentations to summarize findings, recommendations, and project outcomes.
- Participate in root cause investigations for process or operational excursions.
- Gain exposure to lithography processes, including photoresist coating, bake, develop, exposure, and metrology.
- Assist with process qualifications, tool matching, and production readiness initiatives.
- Observe and participate in problem-solving efforts related to yield, defects, and equipment performance.
- Present project updates and final recommendations to engineering and management teams.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related STEM disciplines.
- Junior or Senior undergraduate standing is preferred.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a curious mindset and a desire to solve operational challenges.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfort working on the manufacturing floor and interacting with production equipment.
- Ability to transform data into actionable business recommendations.

- Compensation: This is a paid position with a base salary range of $26.00 to $44.00 per hour.
