About the role#
OneAmerica Financial is seeking an Actuarial Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Indianapolis. You will gain hands-on experience by working on meaningful projects and collaborating with leaders across the enterprise.
What you'll do#
- Complete tasks related to pricing, product development, and valuation.
- Assist with financial reporting, financial projections, and experience analysis.
- Conduct asset/liability management and industry-related research.
- Learn about our business lines, including Individual, Employee Benefits, or Retirement Services.
- Identify potential method improvements and provide recommendations.
- Build your technical and interpersonal skills while developing professional relationships.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one year of college coursework toward a four-year degree.
- A GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Preferred fields of study include Actuarial Science and Mathematics.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, with experience in Access considered a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Successful completion of one or more SOA exams is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is an 11-week summer internship.
- The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Work is hybrid based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
- You may be required to work from the office as business needs dictate.
- Housing stipends are available for eligible candidates.
