About the role#
As a summer 2027 intern with the Construction Administration and Management team, you will gain hands-on experience on civil infrastructure projects. You will work alongside experienced staff to support construction management, observation, and inspection tasks. This role involves working in various terrains and weather conditions, with potential for weekend work or overnight travel.
What you'll do#
- Assist with construction administration and inspection for projects such as public utilities, highways, municipal streets, and water treatment facilities.
- Inspect and perform tests to confirm work meets project requirements.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and codes.
- Identify and avoid safety hazards on project sites.
- Build skills in project documentation, contractor management, and communication with clients and stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in civil engineering, industrial engineering, construction management, construction engineering, or surveying.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- A valid driver's license with a good driving history.
- Ability to work in varied weather and terrain conditions.
- Ability to maintain a constant state of alertness and work safely.
