About the role#
The Bridge team at Olsson manages projects including bridges, retaining walls, dams, and traffic structures. As a structural engineering intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers on real-world projects. This role offers hands-on experience in bridge inspection, rehabilitation, and design.
What you'll do#
- Assist with basic project design using AutoCAD drafting.
- Conduct research and write technical reports.
- Help with inspections, rehabilitations, and load ratings.
- Travel to job sites for observation as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's or master's degree in civil or architectural engineering with a structural emphasis.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
