About the role#
As an intern on the Traffic & Technology team, you will perform hands-on work that connects your classroom learning to real-world engineering. You will contribute to projects involving traffic management, signal systems, and Intelligent Transportation Systems.
What you'll do#
- Use CAD software to create design plans.
- Perform design work for signals, roundabouts, pavement markings, signing, and temporary traffic control.
- Assist with traffic operations and signal timing tasks.
- Participate in safety and pedestrian circulation studies.
- Travel to job sites to conduct field observations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a civil engineering degree program.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work well on a team.
