About the role#
As a civil engineering intern at Olsson, you will work with our Site Design team on real-world projects. You will gain hands-on experience by working alongside experienced engineers on retail, commercial, and residential land development projects. This is a full-time, paid position that offers a chance to apply your classroom knowledge to professional engineering tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the creation of construction plans for various sites.
- Perform design tasks related to site layout, grading, stormwater, and utilities.
- Use AutoCAD to support project design efforts.
- Conduct research and prepare technical reports.
- Travel to job sites to observe and participate in field work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a civil engineering degree program.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
