About the role#
The Supply Chain Internship at nVent provides exposure to various facets of supply management within a global manufacturing environment. This is a 12-week full-time position for Summer 2027. You will work alongside managers and other early career professionals to develop business acumen and leadership skills through on-the-job training and structured learning opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Participate in inventory analytics and build or improve tools to support inventory optimization.
- Track weekly and monthly inventory actuals against segment goals.
- Assist in ERP improvement projects to strengthen MRP across multiple systems.
- Drive delivery-performance improvements using analytics and tool enhancements.
- Support the monthly SIOP reporting cadence.
- Assist in integration activities and support PFEP/Kanban implementation.
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis and reporting.
- Identify areas of growth and concern and contribute to projects that address them.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, operations management, or a science-related field.
- Ability to complete a 12-week full-time internship from June 7 through August 27.
- Authorization to work in the United States without restrictions.
- Experience with data analytics and visualization tools like Tableau, SQL, or Power BI.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and previous internship or related experience.
- A strong work ethic, personal responsibility, and a willingness to learn and collaborate.
