About the role#
The Production Supervisory Internship at nVent is a 12-week full-time program. You will support daily plant operations and gain experience in a global manufacturing environment. This role is based on-site in Solon, Ohio, during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Monitor daily production across various value streams and participate in corrective actions.
- Conduct quality inspections using standard tools.
- Collect and analyze data to prepare reports and make recommendations.
- Support the application of Lean Methodologies and Principles.
- Coordinate employee training to ensure procedures meet quality requirements.
- Manage the movement of material into, within, and out of your assigned work area.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Operations, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational ability.
- A willingness to learn and collaborate with team members at all levels.
- Resilience, adaptability, and a strong work ethic.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and basic knowledge of AutoCAD are preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Solon, Ohio.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June through August).
- Status: Full-time and paid at $22 per hour.
- Benefits: Paid time off, paid volunteer time, and paid holidays. Relocation and housing support are available for eligible candidates.
