About the role#
The OT Data Management team in Kennesaw, Georgia, is seeking an Analytics & Data Consumption Co-op. You will help transform operational technology data into insights through analytical models, standardized KPIs, and dashboards. Your primary project involves developing and evaluating AI-enabled insights using Databricks, focusing on data quality, traceability, and business relevance.
What you'll do#
- Develop, test, and validate AI-enabled insights using validated OT data in Databricks.
- Prepare and curate datasets for operational and manufacturing use cases.
- Create and validate analytical models, business rules, and standardized KPI calculations.
- Evaluate AI-generated findings against source data, KPIs, and operational context.
- Build or enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, and other data-consumption solutions.
- Perform data quality assessments and document issues, assumptions, and validation results.
- Support cross-plant benchmarking and operational performance analytics.
- Contribute to Python and Databricks development.
- Document analytical methodologies, dataset lineage, and model logic to support user adoption.
- Connect analytical outputs to operational opportunities to support value-tracking activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
- Foundational experience with Python and SQL.
- Ability to analyze data, investigate inconsistencies, and communicate findings clearly.
- Interest in manufacturing, operational technology data, industrial analytics, or digital transformation.
- Ability to work collaboratively, manage tasks, and document work in a structured manner.
- Preferred: Experience with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, or cloud-based data platforms.
- Preferred: Experience developing Power BI reports, semantic models, or data visualizations.
- Preferred: Exposure to machine learning, generative AI, natural-language interfaces, or AI-assisted analytics.
- Preferred: Familiarity with data pipelines, data quality testing, or analytical model testing.
- Preferred: Experience with Git or other version-control practices.
- Preferred: Knowledge of manufacturing processes, time-series data, or operational performance metrics.
- Preferred: Strong written communication skills and an interest in translating technical analysis into business insights.
