About the role#
As a Student Nurse Apprentice, you join the healthcare team to support patient care. You build relationships with patients and their support systems while working under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You provide assistance with daily living activities and comfort measures, ensuring a clean and safe environment for those in your care.
What you'll do#
- Document patient care and assistance provided.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Perform Medical Unit Receptionist duties if assigned.
- Act as a Safety Attendant when required.
- Follow nursing guidelines and company policies.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
- Completion of the Novant Health sponsored training program.
- Life Support Responder certification within 90 days of starting.
- Completion of Novant Health Safety Attendant Training.
- Strong communication, writing, and customer service skills.
- Effective computer skills for documentation.
