About the role#
As a Student Nurse Apprentice, you will join the healthcare team to provide direct support to patients and their families. You will work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse to ensure patients receive consistent care and comfort. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Assist patients with daily living activities and comfort measures.
- Document patient care accurately.
- Keep the patient environment safe and clean.
- Perform Medical Unit Receptionist duties if assigned by unit leadership.
- Serve as a Safety Attendant when required, following the completion of specific training.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
- Completion of the Novant Health sponsored training program.
- Life Support Responder certification, which must be obtained within 90 days of your start date.
- Completion of Novant Health Safety Attendant training.
- Basic computer skills for documentation.
- Strong communication, writing, and customer service skills.

This role is based on-site in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
