About the role#
The Student Nurse Apprentice works as part of the healthcare team. You will build relationships with patients and their support systems while providing direct care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This is a paid, full-time position that operates on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide comfort measures.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Follow nursing guidelines and company policies.
- Perform Medical Unit Receptionist duties when assigned.
- Serve as a Safety Attendant as needed by the unit.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
- Completion of the Novant Health sponsored training program.
- Life Support Responder certification, which must be obtained within 90 days of starting.
- Completion of Novant Health Safety Attendant Training.
- Strong communication, writing, and customer service skills.
- Effective computer skills for documentation.
