About the role#
As a Student Nurse Apprentice, you will join the healthcare team to support patients and their families. You will work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide direct care and maintain a safe clinical environment. This is a paid, full-time position with rolling start dates.
What you'll do#
- Build relationships with patients and their support systems.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide comfort measures.
- Document care and maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Perform Medical Unit Receptionist duties when assigned.
- Serve as a Safety Attendant if required by unit needs.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
- Completion of the Novant Health sponsored training program.
- Life Support Responder certification, which must be obtained within 90 days of starting.
- Completion of Novant Health Safety Attendant Training.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective computer skills for documentation and customer service abilities.
