About the role#
As a College Financial Representative, you will build an integrated financial planning practice from the ground up. This program provides a framework to help you develop a professional network and gain experience in the financial services industry. You will work with local and nationwide experts while learning to help clients reach their financial goals.
What you'll do#
- Prospect and network to build your business and client base.
- Develop and execute a business strategy.
- Call on potential clients and set meetings to understand their financial needs.
- Prepare financial plans and offer recommendations.
- Use proprietary planning software platforms.
- Participate in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings.
- Obtain Risk Product State Licensing for Life, Accident, and Health.
- Build skills that create future career opportunities.
What you'll need#
- You are a full-time student, with juniors and seniors preferred.
- You have entrepreneurial ambitions and a curiosity for sales.
- You are highly involved on campus as a leader, athlete, student government participant, or member of campus organizations.
- You possess excellent time-management skills.
- You have an interest in financial literacy and planning tools.
- You are business savvy and want to improve your critical thinking abilities.
