    About the role#

    This is a full-time internship for Summer 2027 based in Cincinnati, Ohio. You will join the Northrop Grumman Xetron team to work on projects that address national security threats. This role is on-site and requires a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop products related to kernel development, reverse engineering, and vulnerability research.
    • Work on network and communication systems.
    • Use software development skills and scripting languages to build security solutions.
    • Collaborate with team members on technical challenges.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university.
    • Must be enrolled full-time for the Fall 2027 semester.
    • A degree focus in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Cyber Software, or Systems.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
    • Ability to obtain Special Access Program clearance.
    • Preferred: A cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher.
    • Preferred: An active security clearance.
    • Preferred: Experience with debugging, system analysis tools, SDLC, reverse engineering, and virtual machine technology.
    • Preferred: Familiarity with source control platforms and CI/CD workflows.
