As a Risk and Compliance Intern at Northern Trust, you will work on meaningful projects while gaining hands-on experience in financial services. What you'll do#
- Compile and present summaries of findings, insights, and recommendations.
- Analyze risk, control, and operational data to create reports, dashboards, and metrics.
- Support project teams in enhancing risk frameworks, governance processes, and regulatory initiatives.
- Use data analytics, automation, and emerging technologies to improve risk management and operational efficiency.
- Partner with business and control stakeholders to identify process improvements.
- Develop professional skills through project work and mentorship.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Knowledge of risk and compliance principles.
- Interest in financial markets and the financial services industry.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork experience.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
