About the role#
Nokian Tyres is hiring a Production Operator Intern for a rolling internship program in Dayton, Tennessee. This is a full-time, on-site, paid role. You will work directly on the production line to support manufacturing operations.
What you'll do#
- Operate production equipment according to safety instructions and schedules.
- Load materials into production systems and manage automation controls.
- Monitor tools and processes to prevent malfunctions or quality issues.
- Troubleshoot shop floor problems with machines and materials.
- Keep your work area clean and organized.
- Share feedback with leadership to improve production processes.
- Lift and move materials manually for loading and inspection.
- Assist other team members by sharing production techniques.
What you'll need#
- Ability to load and unload equipment with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer and data entry skills, including the ability to run simple programs.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to escalate issues when necessary.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass pre-hire skills tests, a background check, a physical exam, and a drug screening.
- Ability to stand or walk for an 8-hour shift and lift up to 75 lbs independently.
- Ability to work with odors from raw materials and hot tires.
