About the role#
This is a full-time, 12-week internship for Summer 2027 based in Canton, Mississippi. You will join the paint engineering team to help plan and implement automation projects within a manufacturing environment. This role involves hands-on work with equipment installations during the summer shutdown period.
What you'll do#
- Support project planning for paint automation equipment installations.
- Assist with the implementation of automation projects during the summer shutdown.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, maintenance, and supplier teams to ensure project success.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, schedules, and progress updates.
- Provide hands-on support during equipment installation, startup, and commissioning.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- You must be entering your Junior or Senior year at the start of the upcoming academic term.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and coordinate with various stakeholders.
- A hands-on mindset and a willingness to support equipment installation activities.
- Strong communication skills.
