About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience supporting a team of project leaders and analysts in Canton, Mississippi. You will contribute to projects focused on designing and implementing continuous improvements to material flow processes within our manufacturing operations. This is a full-time, 12-week program designed to help you gain exposure to production activities and operational efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Create and maintain part location tracking spreadsheets using Excel.
- Assist with developing and updating AutoCAD layouts to support material flow initiatives.
- Analyze current material flow processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support the development and implementation of strategies to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with project leaders and analysts on continuous improvement projects across the facility.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Status as a Junior or Senior at the start of the upcoming academic term.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform work on-site at the Canton, MS facility.
