About the role#
As a Platform Development Intern, you will work with Systems Engineers to support and improve internal systems, deployment processes, and infrastructure. This role offers hands-on experience with Linux environments, automation tools, and monitoring solutions. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of technical workflows and DevOps practices. This internship is for Summer 2027, running from May through August.
What you'll do#
- Research, maintain, and support enterprise systems and technical workflows.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and validate system changes or enhancements.
- Assist with system monitoring, application deployment, and configuration management.
- Write scripts and build automation to improve team efficiency.
- Maintain and document DevOps workflows and system procedures.
- Perform quality testing on infrastructure and deployment tasks.
- Manage and prioritize tasks using team management tools like Confluence.
What you'll need#
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program for Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with Object Oriented concepts and languages, specifically Java and its frameworks.
- Experience with Linux operating systems and command line environments.
- Knowledge of scripting or automation tools like Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Understanding of DevOps concepts, CI/CD processes, and source control.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking, relational databases, and cloud infrastructure, such as AWS.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.

Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- The role is hybrid, based in either Lake Saint Louis, Missouri, or Mandan, North Dakota.
- You will be expected to work from the office at least 3 days per week, with the option to work up to 5 days per week.
