About the role#
This is a 10-week, full-time internship program designed for students pursuing degrees in Business Administration or Marketing. You will gain hands-on experience across various business units, interacting with Community Managers and staff throughout our portfolio of conventional and affordable apartment communities. You will work on assigned projects throughout the summer and may be required to present your findings and recommendations to senior management.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the collection of deposits, rents, and fees while reviewing weekly Accounts Receivables reports.
- Conduct daily property inspections and ensure maintenance tasks are performed and documented.
- Manage the full sales process, including finding qualified leads, answering inquiries, and touring apartment homes.
- Support resident retention through newsletters, referral programs, and social events.
- Assist with administrative functions, leasing paperwork, and outreach marketing.
- Resolve resident concerns and handle resident situations according to company guidelines.
- Participate in social media marketing and brand management.
- Research development opportunities and assist with due diligence and tax credit applications.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a self-motivated approach.
- Ability to work with little direction while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak effectively before groups and write routine reports.
- Capability to calculate figures and apply basic algebra concepts.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

- Note: This role may require travel to multiple apartment communities in the upstate of South Carolina.
