About the role#
This Co-Op position supports supply chain management activities for the Senior Global Commodity Manager for Semiconductors. You will gain hands-on experience by working on real projects that connect your classroom education to the technical environment of automotive manufacturing. This role is based on-site in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
What you'll do#
- Support Global Commodity Managers with data collection, validation, and analysis.
- Assist with RFI and RFQ events by gathering quotations and consolidating technical responses.
- Prepare comparison summaries and organize negotiation and contract documentation.
- Coordinate with regional and cross-functional teams to support commodity initiatives.
- Support supplier performance reviews, including QBR preparation and follow-up on open items.
- Contribute to procurement benchmarking and implement best practices for efficiency.
- Monitor supply market trends and support forecasting and specification aggregation.
- Assist with contingency planning and communication during supply disruptions.
- Identify and optimize manual or repetitive processes to improve data workflows and reporting tools.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- A result-driven mindset and the ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan (On-site).
- Schedule: 20-32 hours per week during Fall and Winter semesters, with up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
- Requirements: Must maintain full-time student status.
