About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern on the Brain Interfaces Software Team, you will work on the software stack that manages implant communication, verification, manufacturing, and monitoring. We look for engineers who can architect and implement software solutions and who enjoy the autonomy to propose creative approaches to technical problems.
What you'll do#
- Develop and improve the Implant and Charger SDK.
- Maintain software and firmware build tooling for brain interfaces.
- Develop and improve software for implant manufacturing line acceptance.
- Maintain software used for implant design control verification testing.
- Develop and improve the implant recorder and monitoring systems.
What you'll need#
- Fluency in Python and C or Rust.
- Experience with Linux/Unix systems and the command line.
- Evidence of exceptional ability in engineering, mathematics, or computer science.
- A strong understanding of engineering first principles.
- A strong intuition for what matters in a production system.
- Prior experience developing software for safety-critical systems is preferred.
