About the role#
The Robot Manufacturing Team builds and scales the robotic systems and custom hardware used for surgical procedures. You will work on the production of these systems, focusing on process development and hardware reliability. This position offers hands-on experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the assembly, testing, and documentation of robotic components.
- Identify and implement improvements to current manufacturing workflows.
- Create and maintain work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Design and build jigs, fixtures, and production aids to support assembly tasks.
- Perform quality checks and assist with failure analysis and root cause investigations.
- Collect and analyze manufacturing data to track performance.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Biomedical, or a related engineering field.
- A strong interest in hands-on technical work, robotics, or manufacturing.
- A solid understanding of physics and mathematics.
- Ability to be highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability for a full-time intern schedule.
- Experience in a manufacturing or lab environment related to robotics or high-precision assembly is preferred.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software is preferred.
- Familiarity with regulated environments and Quality Management Systems is preferred.
