As an intern, you will work alongside engineers to build firmware for implantable devices. You will contribute to projects that span the entire development lifecycle, from initial planning and design to final execution and testing.
What you'll do#
- Write bare-metal firmware in C while deepening your understanding of hardware.
- Collaborate with electrical, chip, and algorithm engineers to manage power, radio, and thermal requirements.
- Organize codebases using modular formats to support hardware bifurcation.
- Improve system performance by focusing on latency reduction, battery life, reliability, and safety.
- Work cross-functionally to deliver core product features.
What you'll need#
- At least 2 years of experience with embedded systems.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
- Knowledge of MCU architectures, peripherals, and development environments.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and datasheets.
- Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering and digital signal processing.
- Experience with hardware and software debugging using lab equipment.
- Deep familiarity with embedded toolchains and workflows.
- Experience with ARM core embedded stacks, safety-critical systems, and FPGA development is preferred.
- Practical experience with RF, BLE, TCP/IP stacks, or applied cryptography is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
