About the role#
We are looking for an Analog and Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer Intern to join our Brain Interfaces SoC team. You will help architect and implement neural recording and stimulation chips. This role involves working across the full design cycle, from initial circuit architecture to final layout and verification. You will collaborate with electrical, microfabrication, and neuro engineers to build high-bandwidth brain-machine interfaces.
What you'll do#
- Design analog and mixed-signal circuits and define their architectures.
- Develop transistor-level solutions to meet requirements for noise, power, distortion, and cost.
- Create verification plans for IP blocks or entire chips.
- Run complex simulations and analyses to evaluate performance and yield.
- Design and program tests, review work from other team members, and analyze bugs.
What you'll need#
- At least 1 year of experience in analog or mixed-signal integrated CMOS circuit design.
- A proven track record of silicon validation.
- Minimum 3 months of technical experience outside of the classroom, such as research, personal projects, or previous internships.
- Experience with scripting and automation for simulation scenarios.
- Proficiency in lab testing high-precision analog and mixed-signal ICs.
- Knowledge of Verilog AMS and SystemVerilog for functional modeling and logic verification.
- Experience with design and layout using advanced CMOS FinFET technologies.
- Familiarity with design for high-volume production.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
