About the role#
As an IT System Administrator Intern, you will join the FUTURES program at Netsmart. This 8-week summer internship provides hands-on experience with our business applications and technical infrastructure. You will work directly with operational application owners to support internal initiatives and ensure our systems remain effective.
What you'll do#
- Act as an IT liaison for assigned systems.
- Provide technical support for operational application owners.
- Configure, modify, and maintain business applications.
- Create technical documentation, including build requirements, data flow diagrams, and configuration specifications.
- Execute system administration tasks, including configuration settings and software administration.
- Troubleshoot systems and perform routine maintenance.
- Conduct audits and analysis to ensure system integrity.
What you'll need#
- A High School diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a relevant technical certification, training program, or associate degree.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a self-motivated approach to work.
- An organized mindset with the ability to solve problems.
- Ability to balance individual tasks with team collaboration to meet deadlines.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site at the Netsmart Solutionarium in Overland Park, Kansas.
