About the role#
The Human Resources Intern assists our HR team and employee owners with daily administrative tasks. You will work across departments with managers and supervisors to support personnel administration and employee records. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position in Parsons, Kansas, with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Update company databases with new employee contact information and employment details.
- Process payroll data and maintain employee files.
- Screen resumes and organize interviews for open vacancies.
- Coordinate new hire orientations and assist with company events to support employee morale.
- Provide clerical support by drafting letters and managing HR documentation.
- Scan documents into our HRIS system and respond to staff inquiries regarding policies and benefits.
- Handle other projects and duties as assigned by the department.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor's degree in human resource management or current enrollment in a related degree program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and G Suite applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A detail-oriented approach to tasks.
- Ability to handle confidential matters and follow company policies.
- Familiarity with HRIS software is helpful.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
