About the role#
Neighbors & Associates is hiring an Engineering Intern for an entry-level position based in Parsons, Kansas. This role offers exposure to various engineering functions and allows you to work directly with team members across the department. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research using the internet and other sources.
- Perform analytical work for design or manufacturing objectives.
- Assist staff with research and development projects.
- Create memos, reports, and other necessary documentation.
- Maintain and update internal databases and systems.
- Develop drawings based on engineering principles and company standards.
- Complete tasks that support daily engineering and project management operations.
- Follow design and documentation best practices for company products.
- Build models, drawings, and assemblies using CAD systems.
- Provide regular status updates to your supervisor and project teams.
- Generate approval prints for customer review.
- Present your project results to management or department personnel.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or college entry-level status.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and G-Suite.
- Experience with AutoCAD 2018 or Autodesk Inventor 2018 (or later) is preferred.
- Solid problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks and work independently on various projects.
- Ability to build and maintain working relationships with colleagues.
