About the role#
The IT Intern provides software and network support to end-users. You will assist with troubleshooting and routine maintenance of IT systems at our Parsons, Kansas facility.
What you'll do#
- Diagnose hardware and software problems.
- Install and configure new computers and telephones.
- Repair and upgrade PC or mobile device hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot printers, scanners, and copiers.
- Train staff on hardware and software use.
- Use the IT Help Desk request system to document, prioritize, and track requests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college program with an IT focus.
- A High School diploma or equivalent (GED) with 2 years of additional schooling or training.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with multiple productivity software applications.
- Solid problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work alone on projects and maintain professional relationships.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
