About the role#
This construction internship provides hands-on experience with bolted storage tank systems. You will work as part of a team to complete projects while learning about production methods and safety standards. This role is paid and full-time, with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Assemble bolted tank systems using hand and power tools, fixtures, and work instructions.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, prints, and sketches.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase daily output.
- Follow ISO 9001 production guidelines and company policies.
- Conduct research and maintain department databases.
- Provide project updates to your manager and present results to department personnel.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and man-lifts as you learn.
- Travel with the crew to various project sites.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Construction, Manufacturing, or STEM degree program.
- Ability to work at heights and inside tanks.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and G-Suite.
- Capability to use measuring tools like tape measures, levels, and squares.
- Skill in basic math and reading blueprints.
- Willingness to work additional hours when necessary to meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to be mentored.
